As you are undoubtedly aware, this week, the Trump Administration made a decision to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), leaving the future uncertain for this program that supports a path to college and career for approximately 800,000 young people brought to this country as children.
Since 2010, ScholarMatch has stood by all underserved students — documented and DREAMers alike — to make higher education and full participation in the workforce and the world possible. We have supported college-bound students with tutoring, advising, last-dollar scholarships, and a warm, friendly community all the way to college graduation. It is our honor to serve the youth who need us most. And it is our promise to continue to do so.
Regardless of what decisions come in the future, ScholarMatch will not waver in this essential work. Our nation’s low-income, first-to-college, and newcomer youth are bright, dedicated to serving our country, and ready to make a difference in the world. We are here to support them in that commendable endeavor.
Yours truly,
Diana Adamson
