OUR seven-YEAR PROGRAM MODEL
YEAR 1
High School

JOIN SCHOLARMATCH

High school students join our Destined for College program and are matched with a volunteer college coach to work 1:1 on college applications.

YEAR 1

Complete College-Ready Milestones

With the support of college coaches, students build college lists, write essays, apply for financial aid, and tackle other aspects of the college application process.

YEAR 2

Apply to our College Success Program

High school students are matched with a college advisor and a career mentor to continue receiving college support and career preparation guidance.

YEAR 3
COLLEGE

APPLY TO THE 
SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Once students complete our Destined for College program and are accepted into college, they are invited to apply to our Scholars Program, our college persistence program, to receive college advising, career mentoring, and targeted financial support.

YEAR 3

Students Meet College Advisor

Students begin working with their college advisor, a ScholarMatch staff member, who provides critical guidance throughout college.

YEAR 3

Targeted Financial Support

Students receive up to five years of strategic scholarship support ranging between $2,000 and $5,000 a year.

YEAR 3-5

Career Programming

Students participate in career skill-building workshops and receive support with attaining internships.

YEAR 3-5

CAREER LAUNCH

Students are matched with a volunteer career coach and start to work on Career Milestones.

YEAR 6

Graduation

Students graduate, and we celebrate their hard work and accomplishments.

Alumni Program

Students are invited to participate in our Alumni program!
