Eligibility Criteria and Selection process

12 Winston Excellence Award winners will each receive $5,000 at the TFI Graduation in 2020

All TFI Fellows who apply to the Winston Excellence Award Applicants must:

  • Be a TFI Fellow attending high school in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or New York City
  • Be in good standing in their high school and have excellent TFI attendance for Saturday sessions/events
  • Maintain a high school GPA of 2.7
  • Complete the application, essay and recommendation form
  • Exemplify Winston’s commitment to academic excellence, service, brotherhood and family, and demonstrate leadership both within and outside of TFI
  • Register and enroll in a college/university by the fall of 2020

Terms of Award

If you are a recipient of the Winston Excellence Award you will be held to the following terms, please type your initials in the box below to confirm that all information submitted on this application is true and correct and that you agree to the terms below.

 

Award Terms for Disbursement

  • ScholarMatch will administer the award through a PEX card, which is a debit card that can be loaded remotely. Receipts must be submitted to verify the purchases.
  • The Winston Excellence Award be use the funds for multiple years for books, transportation to school, and other expenses.
