Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, Ricardo moved to San Francisco to attend SFSU, where they earned a degree in Media and Broadcasting. With a passion for storytelling and community, they began their career in sports broadcasting before transitioning into the education and non-profit world at 826 Valencia, where they produced thousands of student-created podcasts. After a few years working as an AV event planner in San Francisco's hotel industry, Ricardo is excited to reconnect with educational spaces that uplift young voices and build community. Outside of work, they love biking around the city, playing drums, doing embroidery, and yelling about reality tv.
