We offer college access services and support for first-generation students
Welcome!
Destination College is a college access program for students in the San Francisco Bay Area run by ScholarMatch. It is a flexible program, offering both remote and in-person components designed to support high school students who are the first in their family to attend college as they go through the college application process. Eligible students who participate in the Destination College program will be invited to apply to our Scholars Program, and other scholarship programs, to support their college journeys.
Our goal is to develop partnerships in an effort to reach and serve as many high school students as possible in our community. Local high schools and community-based organizations play a key role in identifying students to join Destination College and should use this resource page to inform their internal recruitment process for our program.

How It Works
Juniors Apply: High school juniors are invited to apply beginning April 1. Application remains open until program capacity is filled.
Student & Coach Match: Students are matched with a College Coach who works with the student throughout the year. Communication happens virtually, taking place via phone, video chat, email, and text as they navigate the college application process. Students may also receive virtual drop-in support.
Milestone Completion: Students are encouraged to complete all “College Ready Milestones” to help them stay on track with their college application.
Seniors Apply to Continue: In the spring of the senior year, eligible students who complete their milestones can apply to ScholarMatch’s college program.
College Support: Students who are accepted into the Scholars Program, or another scholarship partner, will receive college advising, financial support, and career mentoring all the way to college graduation.
