About Me: One day, I received a phone call from a Practice SAT program that offered me training and practice. They told me that this program would improve my test scores and that I could try the program for free for the first 3 weeks. I was also told that if I returned the product I would get all my money back guaranteed. The next day they charged me $238, and told me that it was a preliminary payment and that it would disappear if I returned the product.
Once I received the product, I returned it as soon as possible and they told me that it would take 3-4 weeks for my money to return. After waiting three weeks there was no refund in my account so I called them again and asked why there was no refund. They told me that they did receive the product and that it would take another 3-4 weeks for the payment. After another three weeks I realized I was scammed.
At that point, I accepted the fact that they are not going to return my money. After this experience it made me feel pretty dumb and betrayed my ability to trust anyone would be difficult. But interestingly enough. I did not lose hope of everything. I did not shut myself down and tell myself that everyone in this world a liar and untrustworthy. I knew there were good people out there. Like ScholarMatch-- they offered free training on college application and college help. I knew that they were trustworthy people because they offered their help voluntarily to me and other students at our school. So, after seeing both sides of people in this world, I learned that there will be people who would break your trust and there's also people who could be trustworthy.
Fall 2016 College Update I am excited for the virology class I will be taking this semester since we get to work with viruses in the lab. I have a heavy science course load this semester. One highlight of the summer was that I got to spend more time with my family members.
