ScholarMatch partners with Bay Area college counselors, teachers, and community-based organizations to recruit the talented, hardworking scholars you find on our website. Students are nominated by our partners, apply to post a profile on our website, and are selected by a committee to become scholars. Only nominated students are able post profiles at this time.

More about our scholars:

• Eighty eight percent of ScholarMatch students who have received scholarships or are seeking financial support are the first in their families to go to college.
• A majority of our scholars are from under resourced communities in the immediate Bay Area.
• Forty two percent of our students come from households whose annual income is less than $25,000.
• Our scholars frequently attend college locally and have a commitment to giving back to their communities.
