Actress and comedian Aisha Tyler, of FX’s Archer, recently stopped by the ScholarMatch office for an amazing and inspiring interview with ScholarMatch student Erica McMath. Watch the video as they share their experiences of growing up in challenging environments and why they both felt a college education was so important.

Aisha was impressed by Erica’s poise and fearlessness. "The attitude you have, and the sense of the world that you have, you’re going to create a path for other women who come behind you and other students who come behind you,” Aisha told her. "It’s people like you who change things."

Erica attends Dillard University in New Orleans, where she is a sophomore pursuing a BA in psychology. She’s also a writer and performer, having placed first in the Youth Speaks Poetry Slam competition.
