Karina Belberska is headed to college!
We are proud to introduce Karina Belberska, the latest ScholarMatch student who has attained her scholarship goal! Donors have once again stepped up to the plate and pledged to another deserving scholar. This past spring, Karina graduated from Mission High School and will be heading to New Hampshire in the fall to attend Colby-Sawyer College.
"This means the world to me," Karina tells us when she heard the news of her funding. "I will now work harder than ever, knowing that there are donors out there who believe in me. I won't let you down!"
Along with volunteering and having an exceptionally rewarding experience at the Mabini Day Health Care Center, Karina has just completed a summer internship with a group of doctors who practice in the Bay Area. Karina, herself, aspires to be a doctor and has dreams to set up a clinic that primarily serves underrepresented minorities and low-income families.
Like many of the featured scholars on our site, Karina will be the first in her family to attend college, which an achievement that is both commendable and inspiring. If you haven't yet had a chance to register as a donor, you can do so by clicking here. It is not too late to be a part of the success of another student who, like Karina, proves that hard work and dedication pay off.
